Well, I have not done a good job of keeping this going. This is supposed to be a special place for missionary sisters to connect and share. I haven't been back in a while. Well, lets try again.
I was thinking of all you and wondering how you were doing and thought I would try to connect us once again. Please share it with other sisters. We missionary ladies can only be understood by others of the same.
Read my entry below and share with us all.

Heart Sings
I was in one of my favorite stores a few months ago. I found myself wandering from aisle to aisle of the Christmas items. I find it such fun even though at that time it was a good bit early for it. But I sooo love Christmas. And that is a subject for another blog entry. What is on my mind today is something I noticed that day. As I looked at all the bright colors, the snowmen, the santas, all the glitter and gold I realized my heart was singing! Yes, singing. Looking through all that knowing I could bring joy and celebration to my home and family just made my heart sing. I had never thought of that feeling before as my heart singing but there is no other way to describe it. Christmas makes my heart sing. Later I will share some things said by the young ones that also made my heart sing. Think about it. What makes your heart sing??

Recognizing God at work in the small things
How often do we get help from our Heavenly Dad and not notice it and give Him thanks and credit? This jumped out at me yesterday. I woke up with such and awful pain in my neck. You know, that kink that gets in there down the side of your neck into your shoulder. I knew I did not need this as I had a lot to do. It was around 3 a.m. and I could not get comfortable or pain free to go back to sleep. I started talking to Dad about it and asking Him to help the pain and help me go back to sleep. I tossed and turned. Prayed and complained. I tried different pillow positions and combinations. In frustration I took a deep breath and asked once more for help with the pain and flopped over on my back. I remember thinking how it wasn't feeling too bad in that position. Next thing I knew it was time to get up. I had fallen off to sleep and even woke up with the pain gone. I went about the morning and somewhere along the line heard that 'still small voice' asking me if my neck felt better now. 'Why yes, Lord, it does.' Then stopped in my tracks. 'YOU put that in my mind to lay in that position. And YOU took away my pain and I have not even said a single thank you!!!' His subtle reminder brought me to my senses to be more aware when our pleas are answered and not just give the credit to our amazing intelligence. After all Who gave us that intelligence? ALL things come from Him even the idea for a more comfortable position at night to ease a pain in the neck!

Missionary Sisterhood
This blog is for sharing out thoughts and hearts about life as a missionary. We have unique needs and struggles and we are here to show we are not alone. I have begun this to try and replace the paper newsletter UNDER HIS WINGS I used to do. I have had requests for it again and thought perhaps this would be a better alternative. Until I become a complete computer geek and understand how to make it so you can write your own posts on here, email me anything you would like to publish and I'll post it. You will, of course, be able to comment on any posts.
If anyone knows how to set these blogs so others can post let me know. In the mean time become a member of this sisterhood. A button to join is in the sidebar. Share it! For now the plan is for this to be only missionary women, current or former. MK's are welcome. They understand the needs as well. But only of the female persuasion. This is just for us gals. If you know of anyone that would need a paper version mailed to them and there are enough I may start publishing again. It was going to over 100 women world wide before but I could not keep up with it financially. Maybe it is time again.
Let all of us hear from you!
